Strenesse takeover folds as Polish investor withdraws

A Polish takeover of the ailing German fashion brand Strenesse has failed, leaving the future of the company with 240 employees uncertain.

Originally, the insolvent fashion label was to be acquired by Amsterdam, Netherlands-based MAEG Holding, but the investment group’s owner, Poland’s Kucharczyk family, has withdrawn from the purchase.
