Sustainable, airless tyres using NASA technology
Space wheels developed by US space agency NASA for lunar rovers could help cut vehicle particle pollution on Earth.
According to Los Angeles, California, USA-based Smart Tire Company, which is commercialising the product for terrestrial use, the tyres use Shape Memory Alloy Radial Technology (Smart), which means they are airless, durable and will never go flat.
