Sustainable fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles in Malaysia

A Malaysian company hopes to promote and market sustainable fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles and is targeting revenues of MYR2m (US$515,000) by 2017, reports the Bernama news agency.

Kloth Lifestyle, a joint venture between GreenTech Malaysia Alliances and Kloth Malaysia, aims to meet the growing demand for sustainable apparel through the Waste2Wear brand.

Kloth Lifestyle has already begun engaging with leading designers globally and potential clients from across the public sector, enforcement agencies and state governments, as well as property and banking sectors in Malaysia.
