Sustainable hemp fibre prepreg material for automotive interiors
An environmentally friendly pre-impregnated material called ramie fibre reinforced – polylactic acid (RFR-PLA) has been developed for automotive interior applications by the University of Indonesia.
The RFR-PLA prepreg is a semi-finished composite material and consists of a natural polymer matrix and natural reinforcing fibres from hemp plants.
