Textile-engineered prostheses

Methods for making improved textile-engineered prostheses, such as tracheas, vascular grafts and bioreactor containers, have been developed by Secant Group.

According to the company of Telford, Pennsylvania, USA, current artificial trachea technologies generally include electrospinning, moulded forms and other nonwovens. However, these methods typically do not provide suitable biomimetic structures.
