Thai textile firms ordered to increase face mask output

Thailand’s government has ordered textile firms to produce 30m pieces of washable fabric face masks to give away in Bangkok metropolitan areas to combat chronic shortages owing to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Ministry of Industry said textile companies should be able to produce 10m face masks a month based on their production capacity.
