Verdezyne granted BioNexus status by Malaysian Biotechnology

US-based Verdezyne, a developer of renewable polyamide fibre and bio-based chemicals, has been granted BioNexus status by Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation, Malaysia’s primary bio-based industry development agency.

Verdezyne announced in June that it would set up a biochemical production facility in Malaysia, where it plans to use palm oil as its feedstock for commercial-scale production of bio-based adipic acid.
