Vietnam targets US40bn in textile/clothing exports in 2019

The Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas) has set the industry’s export turnover target this year at US$40bn, a 10.8% year-on-year increase over 2018.

The industry’s trade surplus is expected to reach US$20bn this year, while employment will be ensured and income for 2.85m workers will be increased, said the association.
