Vietnamese textile and clothing exports fall short of target

Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports were estimated at US$39bn in 2019, slightly falling short of the US$40bn target, according to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas).

However, the export value increased by 7.6% over the previous year as Vietnam maintained its position as the world’s third largest textile and garment exporter, after China and Bangladesh.
