Vietnamese textile mills save US$15m in sustainability project

A group of Vietnamese textile suppliers to VF and Target have achieved savings of US$15m in water, energy and chemical operating costs over the past 18 months.

Some 28 suppliers, with a range of cut and sew, dyeing and printing, and garment washing operations, are part of the International Finance Corporation’s Vietnam Improvement Program, which fosters investment in sustainability measures to drive business performance. The businesses collectively invested US$9.9m in resource efficiency measures, achieving a significant return on investment in the process.
