Labour costs in Myanmar are expected to see a 33% increase this year, and sourcing costs may also follow.
The country’s National Committee for Minimum Wage has agreed to set the daily salary wage for workers at MMK4,800 (US$3.55), up from the current MMK3,600 (US$2.66) that has been in place since 2013.
