Waste from olive trees trialled for manufacturing automotive parts

Olive Tree 1Ford has been trialling the use of branches, twigs and leaves from olive trees that are discarded during harvest to manufacture automotive parts.

The trial was conducted as part of the COMPOlive project that is committed to delivering environmental change in olive production, using biocomposites instead of plastic and supporting the circular economy.
