Zoltek facility in Hungary to produce PPS compounds

Toray Industries is to construct a polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) compound production facility at the site of its US subsidiary and large-tow carbon fibre manufacturer Zoltek in Nyergesújfalu, Hungary.

This will be the Japanese company’s first resin compound production facility in Europe and is expected to start operations in March 2018 with an annual production capacity of 3,000 tonnes.
