E-textiles embedded in horse slickers to monitor chronic disease

A team of engineers and veterinarians at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA, have embedded the liner of horse slickers with nanomaterials to gauge whether these fabrics can monitor the animal’s health, both to assess whether a horse suffers from any underlying conditions and to predict the onset of chronic disease.
