Fabrication and reliability of e-textiles

At an E-Textiles Network webinar held in April, Dr Paula Veske-Lepp, a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University, Belgium, discussed the fabrication and reliability of e-textiles in a number of different fields.

In the webinar, Veske-Lepp, who is researching methods to develop textile-based wearables to make them as reliable and comfortable as possible, gave an overview of her work and discussed her experience with e-textiles developed for different applications, including a bikesuit for monitoring lower back problems for cyclists, children’s smart socks, firefighters’ apparel and veterinary ECG suits for horses.
