Knitted garments record cardiac activity

smart1A team of researchers from the University of Toronto, Canada, led by Professor Hani Naguib from the Department of Materials Science & Engineering, has developed smart textiles to monitor the electrical impulses that co-ordinate the heart’s contractions, allowing continuous monitoring of the cardiovascular system.
