Sealant patch to stem bleeding during surgery

FibrolineA haemostatic sealant patch made using an advanced textile impregnation technology could soon be used to resolve complex bleeding in patients undergoing general surgery.

Nijmegen, Netherlands-headquartered medical device company GATT Technologies has announced that its GATT-Patch has been used for the first time to treat bleeding in a patient undergoing liver resection surgery at the Radboud University Medical Center Nijmegen.
