Sealant patch to stem bleeding during surgery

A haemostatic sealant patch made using an advanced textile impregnation technology could soon be used to resolve complex bleeding in patients undergoing general surgery.

Nijmegen, Netherlands-headquartered medical device company GATT Technologies has announced that its GATT-Patch has been used for the first time to treat bleeding in a patient undergoing liver resection surgery at the Radboud University Medical Center Nijmegen.
