Stable inkjet printed circuits for wearables

New inks developed at Imperial College London and the Polytechnic of Milan provide a pathway to wearable devices – health monitors, body warmers, radio frequency antennas and electronic textile displays – by enabling high-performance electronic circuits to be inkjet-printed.

The circuits produced by the new electronic inks have performed as well as commercial organic semiconductors which are used for applications including next-generation light-emitting diodes and solar panels.
